| NEMA accepts $150,000 from Clearing Banks for Hurricane Relief Efforts |  |
| NASSAU, Bahamas - The Clearing Banks Association on Friday, September 26, presented a cheque for $150,000 to assist in the hurricane relief efforts of Inagua. The presentation took place during the association’s monthly meeting at the British Colonial Hilton. Commander Stephen Russell, director of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, accepted the cheque, which he said would “go a long way” in contributing to the repairs of the homes destroyed by category four Hurricane Ike, which struck Matthew Town, Inagua on September 7. <more> |
