Criteria for Judging

Originality

Judges are to be aware of concepts which are related to the respective areas of assessed - choreography of dance, effective use of musical instruments (whether traditional or improvised), and structure - sound costumes using a diversity of materials and/or few materials in a creative manner.

The aspects of the parade to be reflected in the judging are as follows:

General Impression

High visibility of the total presentation,to give an over-all aesthetic appearance.

Music

Diversity in instruments, total quality.

Costumes

Good colour schemes, good design, good craftmanship application and execution of theme.

Dance

Choreography synchronization. N.B. Ostentatious, suggestive gyrations (vulgar dancing) by individuals are not to be considered an asset such performance are subject to penalties.

Banner

Construction, Relevance to theme, identification of school and workmanship.
