The Council consists of 7 positions, occupied by the Chief Medical Officer of the Ministry of Health and 6 other persons appointed by the Minister of Health, under the advice of the Medical Association. Members work together to:

    · safeguard the public by investigating complaints

Monies collected from fees go toward defraying the Council’s administrative and operational costs.
