Baillou Hill Road Community Clinic

Mission
To provide comprehensive, primary healthcare, to all residents regardless of age, sex, creed or ability to pay.
Overview
To ensure that healthcare is readily accessible to all residents, The Ministry of Health’s Department of Public Health manages Community Health Clinics throughout The Bahamas. These clinics all have medical, nursing and allied staff.

This model is able to extend both routine and emergency healthcare services to every community. This model of decentralised healthcare:
    · Focuses on the needs of the whole person as these change over time.
    · Provides equitable access to healthcare regardless of where residents live.
    · Makes healthcare more economical for all people.
    · Reduces the need for in-patient care and specialist services.

It is Government policy that all residents should have universal access to healthcare and essential social services.
Individuals may be asked to contribute towards the costs of care and transportation, but no care is denied due to inability to pay.
