How Do I's




How can I be vaccinated?
    1. Contact any Community Health Clinic and speak with the Nurse-in-Charge for immunization information.
    2. Visit Baillou Hill Road Clinic either on Wednesday or Friday, 9:00 – 11:00 am.
    3. Participate in interview and assessment.
    4. Receive vaccination(s).
    5. Receive or update Immunization Card with return appointment
    6. Honour all subsequent appointments and recommendations.

How do I attend the Immunization Symposium?
    1. RSVP after receiving invitation. (Alternatively, contact Expanded Programme on Immunization Unit for invitation and RSVP).
    2. Make payment for meal if necessary.
    3. Participate in symposium.

How can my child be vaccinated?
    1. In the first 28 days of her baby’s life, a mother can expect a “Birth Visit” from a nurse working within the Department of Public Health. Receive appointment from the nurse, for the first immunization visit. (Alternatively, parents may be contacted via telephone from information obtained from the master “Live Birth List”, supplied by Postnatal Services.

    2. Visit clinic with baby.
    3. Participate in interview and examination.
    4. Receive immunization.
    5. Obtain return appointment, along with immunization card.
    6. Keep all subsequent appointments and bring immunization card to each clinic visit.

How do I request an Immunization Workshop?
    1. Contact Expanded Programme on Immunization Unit by letter, include specific details regarding date, time, topics to be addressed, group profile, telephone number and contact person. (An initial telephone contact for general availability and information can be made.)

    2. Await telephone response up to 1 week after receiving letter of request.
    3. Advertise the event with group members.
    4. Provide needed resources, for example, table, power outlet, chairs, and note-taking supplies for participants.
    5. Participate in workshop.
    6. Follow recommendations made.
