How Do I's


How do I determine if I'm pregnant?


    1. Attend your nearest community Health Clinic and request a pregnancy test.

    2. Receive pregnancy test.

    3. Should the results be positive, receive an appointment for your first antenatal clinic visit.


How do I receive Antenatal care?

    1. Attend Community Health Clinic on Antenatal Clinic Day.

    2. Register.

    3. Wait for session in waiting area.

    4. Supply detailed personal and family medical history.

    5. Participate in testing and examination.

    6. Obtain follow-up appointment.

    7. Follow advice/instructions of your healthcare provider.


How do I obtain a check-up for my baby?

    1. Call Community Health Clinic for service times, appointments.

    2. Bring child to clinic at appointed time.

    3. Take a number.

    4. Present number at registration desk in order to register child.

    5. Take child for measurement of growth parameters (for example height, weight).

    6. Be seated in waiting area until name is called for interview/examination.

    7. Take child for immunization/lab tests as directed by healthcare provider.

    8. Make follow up appointment.

    9. Have prescription (if any) filled at nearest Pharmacy.


How can I attend the Gynaecology clinic?


    1. Call Community Health Clinic to receive an appointment.

    2. Attend session.

    3. Receive consultation and examination.

    4. Follow recommendations given.


How do I receive Postnatal care?


    1. Receive appointment from maternity ward (or contact Community Health Clinic to receive appointment).

    2. Attend postnatal clinic.

    3. Follow recommendation provided by health physician.

    4. Return for test results.

    5. Receive appointment for family planning clinic.


How do I receive an Ultrasound?


    1. Attend antenatal clinic.

    2. Request ultrasound scan or obtain referral for ultrasound.

    3. Obtain appointment.

    4. Attend ultrasound session and participate.
