Recording, Researching And Issuance Of Adoption Certificate

1What is the difference between the birth certificate and an adoption certificate?Both certificates are similar, however on the birth certificate you will find the names of the paternal parents and on the adoption certificate you will find the names of the adopted parents and the adopted names of the child.
2Is there a fee for this service?Yes, $7.00 per copy
3Who registers an adoption?The Supreme Court is responsible for adoptions. Once the adoption is finalized, the information is sent to the Registrar General’s Department to be recorded.
