The Department of Labour of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas is committed to the
Declaration of the Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
adopted by the
International Labour Organization (ILO)
in 1998, the four main areas of which are:-
(1) Freedom of Association and the right to Collective Bargaining
(2) The Elimination of Forced and Compulsory Labour
(3) The Abolition of Child labour and
(4) The Elimination of Discrimination in the workplace
