A licence to operate a captive marine mammal facility certifies that the operators of a captive marine mammal facility have been deemed adequate to hold live specimens of marine mammals in The Bahamas.


Eligibility 
  1. Possession of a facility that meets the requirements detailed in the Marine Mammal (Facilities) Regulations.
  2. Ability to demonstrate possession of the resources (financial and manpower), to operate the facility in accordance with the Marine Mammal Regulations.
Process 
  1. Complete the relevant application form.
  2. Submit completed application form, along with the required supporting documents, to the Department of Marine Resources.
  3. Upon approval of the application, the applicant will be requested to pay the required fee.
  4. Permit will then be issued to the applicant.
