Road Works -Faith Avenue, Carmichael Road to Cow Pen Road

Please be advised that the Ministry of Public Works/Bahamix will continue the paving works along Faith Avenue. Bahamix has now scheduled the section of road between Carmichael Road and Cow Pen Road to be carried out in three (3) traffic management phases.

 

The Road Works are scheduled to commence Thursday, July 2nd, 2020, from 9:00am to 2:00pm, for 15 working days or until completion of the works.

 

There will be full road closures implemented between the following junctions:

  1. )   Carmichael Road /Faith Ave. and Avocado Road / Faith Ave.

All south bound traffic will be diverted to Bahamas Blvd, which is approximately one quarter of a mile west of the Carmichael Road/Faith Avenue junction, then to India Road and on to Avocado Road. All north bound traffic on Faith Avenue will be diverted on to Avocado Road, on to India Drive and then to Bahamas Blvd, which leads directly to Carmichael Road.

  1. )    Avocado Road /Faith Ave. and Croton Road / Faith Ave.

All south bound traffic will be detoured on to Avocado Road, then on to India Drive, on to Bahamas Blvd, on to Great Britain and then on to Croton Road, which leads to Faith Ave. All north Bound traffic will be detoured onto Croton Road, on to Great Britain Street, on to Bahamas Blvd then onto India Road, and then onto Avocado Road, which leads directly to Faith Avenue.

  1. )   Croton Road / Faith Ave. and Cow Pen Road / Faith Ave.

All north bound traffic will be detoured to Jewfish Street, then to Croton Road, which leads to Faith Ave. All south bound traffic will be detoured to Croton Road, then on to Jewfish Street and then on to Cow Pen Road.

 

Provisions will be made for residents and businesses where necessary. Motorists are asked to utilize the adjacent streets and avoid the area if possible.

 

You are asked to be aware of and acknowledge the posted traffic paving signs in the area.
