Parents, teachers, guidance counsellors, psychologists, doctors or audiologists who suspect that a child may have a speech problem may seek help from the Speech Therapy Unit of the Ministry of Education.  The Unit will evaluate, diagnose and/or treat students with communication difficulty.  They also educate and train parents and other professionals to assist those with communication disorders.  The Speech Therapy Unit aims to prevent and/or minimize communication difficulty as much as possible in infants and children.
