NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Urban Renewal Centres nationwide held Back-to-School fairs for children on Friday, August 31, 2018.  The focus this year was the distribution of coupons for the purchase of school text books, redeemable at selected bookstores.  The event featured food, fun and giveaways: bouncing castles, face painting, hot dogs, games and back-to-school supplies.  Minister of Social Services and Urban Development the Hon. Frankie Campbell told children gathered at the Centreville Urban Renewal Centre that he, himself, believed in them,... "your parents believe in you, and the government believes in you. You are the future."  The Minister remarked that all Urban Renewal Centres throughout the country are holding similar events to distribute school supplies in an effort to prepare the nation's children for the upcoming school year.  In group photo, Minister Campbell is pictured second left next to MP for Centreville, Reece Chipman; at left is Urban Renewal's Permanent Secretary David Cates, and at right, Urban Renewal Centreville's Centre Manager Nicole Miller.
