Prime Minister Minnis Attends Bloomberg Global Business Forum in NY

NEW YORK CITY -- Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Hubert A.  Minnis, accompanied by the Hon. Kwasi Thompson, Minister of State for Grand Bahama and Mrs. Viana Gardiner, Chief Operating Officer, Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, attended the 2018 Bloomberg Global Business Forum hosted by Michael R. Bloomberg, Founder of Bloomberg L. P. & Bloomberg Philanthropies, in New York City on Wednesday, September 26.  

 

The event, held at the Plaza, as a part of the ongoing 73rd United Nations General Assembly, kicked off with a Leaders' Breakfast and a welcome address by Mr. Bloomberg.  After the breakfast, Heads of State and Government, and other CEO’s participated in a Global Business Forum Plenary on Global Leadership in Trade Relationships.  A Bloomberg Round Table Discussion on Building Resilient Economies and Preserving Marine Ecosystems in Coastal Commonwealth Nations followed.

 

Among those in attendance were the Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Nations, the Rt. Hon. Patricia Scotland; former US President Bill Clinton; Former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush; Prime Minister of St. Lucia the Hon. Allen Chastanet; Prime Minister of Barbados the Hon. Mia Mottley; Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda the Hon. Gaston Browne; and Co-Founder and CEO of Baidu internet search engine, Robin Li. 

 

The session concluded with a networking luncheon reception.
