Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality (BBSQ) is mandated to develop, adopt and promulgate standards for such goods and services as may be required in the national interest.

The following FDBNS are being issued for public comment, in accordance with the provisions set out in the Standards Act, Chapter 338 (2006), and in keeping with international best practices and the standards development procedures:

1. ISO 9000:2015 Quality management systems -- Fundamentals and vocabulary
2. ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems -- Requirements
3. ISO 9004:2018 Quality management -- Quality of an organization -- Guidance to achieve sustained success
4. ISO 19011:2018 Guidelines for auditing management systems
5. ISO 24518:2015 Activities relating to drinking water and wastewater services -- Crisis management of water utilities
6. CRS 11: Part 1: 2011 Specification For Tourist Accommodation Part 1 -- General Requirements (with amendments)
7. ISO 21542:2011 Building construction -- Accessibility and usability of the built environment
8. ISO10004:2018 Quality management -- Customer satisfaction -- Guidelines for monitoring and measuring
9. EAA002:2017 Road Vehicles -- Code of Practice for Inspection and testing of used motor vehicles for Roadworthiness

Copies of the FDBNS are available for viewing at the Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality’s Office, Source River Centre, 1000 Bacardi Road and local Government Offices. Further, information on the standards will be available on BBSQ’s website: www.bbsq.bs.
