His Excellency Jeffrey Williams, non-resident Ambassador of The Bahamas to the Dominican Republic, presented his Copie d’Usage to His Excellency Miguel Octavio Vargas Maldonado, Minister of Foreign Affairs, this morning, 26 July 2018, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Following the presentation ceremony, Ambassador Williams and Minister Vargas engaged in a brief exchange of views and discussion on co-operation in areas of trade, tourism, agriculture and illegal fishing. The Minister and the Ambassador both expressed a keen interest in finalising and implementing agreements in these areas, which would be mutually beneficial to both countries.

Recognising the very close ties between the two countries, Ambassador Williams and Minister Vargas committed to working towards enhancing and strengthening that relationship.

Ambassador Jeffrey Williams will present his Letters of Credence to the President of the Dominican Republic, His Excellency Danilo Medina Sanchez, later this year. Ambassador Williams is also resident Ambassador to the Republic of Haiti.
