Florida Churches Donate $30K to NEMA For Disaster Relief

NASSAU, The Bahamas - The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA received a cheque for $30,000 from Pastor Marcus Davidson of Mt Olive Baptist Church in Ft Lauderdale and Pastor John F White II of Emmanuel Temple AME in Pembroke Pines towards building materials for residents who lost their homes during the passage of the Category 5 Hurricane Dorian in September, 2019 in North and Central Abaco and East End Grand Bahama. On behalf of the Florida churches, the cheque, dubbed a first installment, was presented by Rev Ranford Patterson to Captain Stephen Russell, Director of NEMA on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at NEMA on Gladstone Road.  Also present was Tiffany Knowles, accountant, Bahamas Disaster Relief Fund.
