NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC) and the Caribbean Export Development Agency (CEDA) hosted a two-day workshop, Thursday June 20 and Friday 21, for small and medium-sized business owners and persons hoping to become business owners.

Persons attending the national capacity building workshop on the protection of intellectual property for small and medium-sized enterprises were addressed by Chairman of BAIC Bishop Gregory Collie who told them this workshop is in keeping with BAIC's mandate of growing, partnering and empowering.

Some topics covered were the role in brand development, and the strategic use of intellectual property rights; the practical application of key lessons learnt; and an overview of the IP framework of The Bahamas.
