Chinese Government donates $100,000 towards Hurricane Dorian Relief

NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Government of the People’s Republic of China donated $100,000 towards the Hurricane Dorian Relief efforts. The presentation was made on Monday, September 9, 2019 at the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, on Gladstone Road.  Captain Stephen Russell, Director of NEMA accepted the cheque.  Pictured from left are Tiffany Knowles, accountant, Bahamas Disaster Relief Fund; His Excellency Huang Qinguo, Ambassador, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas; Captain Russell; Sharon Brennen-Haylock, Director-General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Yin Haigang, Counsellor and DCM, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
