All businesses are required to file their tax returns by March 31st annually.  


Eligibility 

All existing Business Owners such as:

  • Partnerships
  • Privately Trading Companies
  • Publicly Trading Companies
  • Limited Liability Partnerships
  • Limited Liability Companies
  • Sole-  Proprietorships  
  • Home Based Businesses
Process 
  1. Collect application form from online or any of Business Licence Unit Offices
  2. Complete the form and tick the “Tax Return” box and return to any of The Business Licence Offices.  On the Family Islands where there are no Business Licence Offices, the form can be returned to a Family Island Administrator.
  3. Applicants must then pay the Business Tax and will be issued a receipt indicating that they are in good standing with the Business Licence Office.
  4. The payment is immediately reflected on their accounts.

Supporting Documents 
  • Valid Business Licence
  • Financial Information.  Note: All businesses with turnover greater than 1,000,000 must submit financial results, which shall be accompanied by a statement certified by a person who is qualified in accounting and who has no interest in the business.

 

 

Turn-around time 
Once an application form and all supporting documents have been submitted, it is processed immediately. Sometimes the time frame may require a longer period for processing based on the amount of work being handled by the Unit at the time.
Deadline 
All businesses must file tax returns by March 31st annually.

Fees vary based on the type of business and turn over.  Please be guided by the Fee Schedule included in the Business Licence Act 2010.
