Ministry of Health Announces First COVID-19 Confirmed Case

NASSAU, The Bahamas -- A press conference was held at the Ministry of Health today, during which Acting Minister of Health the Hon. Jeffrey Lloyd announced the first confirmed case of COVID-19 for The Bahamas. The patient is a 61-year-old resident of New Providence with no relevant travel history, therefore source of exposure is unknown. She and her family have been told of the diagnosis and she is in a designated isolation area of the Princess Margaret Hospital.
