One Additional Death And One Additional Positive COVID-19 Case Update #26

The Ministry of Health confirms the overnight death of Case #18, a seventy-two year old male health care worker from New Providence, hospitalized and with no history of travel.  Investigations are being conducted into the details of this unfortunate death.  This brings the total number of deaths to five (5).

 

The Ministry of Health also confirms today that there is one (1) additional confirmed case of COVID-19.  This brings the total number of confirmed cases to twenty-nine (29). In country there have been five (5) confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Grand Bahama, twenty-three (23) confirmed cases in New Providence and one (1) confirmed case from the island of Bimini.  

 

The newly confirmed case is Case #29, a forty-eight (48) year old female resident of New Providence with no history of travel.  This case is in hospital.

 

Health officials continue to follow the condition of the other twenty-four (24) COVID-19 positive cases.

 

Members of the public are once again reminded to follow the Emergency Powers (COVID-19) Order announced by Prime Minister, the Most Honourable Dr. Hubert Minnis to reduce the spread of the virus, including physical distancing.
