Persons wishing to buy and store seafood product can do so with a seafood buying station licence.


Eligibility 

There are no eligibility criteria for this service.

Process 

For a new licence:

  1. Complete and submit relevant application form.
  2. Submit pre-requisite documentation.
  3. Undergo buying station inspection by the Department of Marine Resources.
  4. Pay relevant fee upon approval.

For a renewal licence, the applicant must indicate and submit any revised documentation if there have been changes to their previously submitted documents.

Application for a Licence to Operate a Factory Vessel, Holding Station or Processing Plant

Supporting Documents 
  1. Completed Application Form.
  2. Valid Business Licence.
  3. Standard Operating Procedure Document.
  4. Scaled drawing of the plant layout.
  5. Valid Health Certificate.
Turn-around time 
Five business days, once application and pre-requisite documents are complete, and the facility meets the documented standards.
Deadline 
The licence is valid for one year (Jan 1st to December 31st)
