To enable customers to apply and pay online to obtain an ‘A’ or ‘B’ class Master’s Licence to operate a vessel in The Bahamas.


Eligibility 

Current and prospective boat captains in The Bahamas.

Process 
  1. Click the Master's Licence Application form link found in the Application Form(s) section of this page.
  2. Complete and submit the application form with the supporting documents listed in the Supporting Documents section of this page.
  3. Follow email instructions on how to pay online using DigiPay platform.
  4. Contact Port Office at 322-8832 or portcustomerservice@bahamas.gov.bs for all inquiries

  1. Applicant’s Valid Identification
  2. Valid Medical Certificate
  3. Valid Standards of Training Certification and Watch Keeping (STCW)
  4. Valid Police Record

Renewal:

  1. Applicant’s Valid Identification
  2. Copy of Previous Licence
Turn-around time 
•For new applications: Up to 1 month •For renewal applications: 3-7 business days
