The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, through the Department of Culture, gives annual and one-time grants each year to persons and organisations for cultural ventures.
Applicants must be citizens and residents of The Bahamas.
- Forms may be collected at the Department of Culture or the Family Island Administrators' Offices.
- The applicant must fill out and submit the application form, along with supporting documents to the Department of Culture.
- The Department of Culture will then acknowledge receipt of the application for a cultural grant.
- The Ministry will review all applications. Applications submitted without required documents will not be processed.
- Applicants will be informed of approval or non-approval in writing.
- Once the grant is approved, the applicant must go to the Department of Culture with national photo ID to collect the cheque.

- Business Licence or Not-for Profit Status
- National Insurance Card
- Bank Account Information
- National Photo ID (Passport)
Applications are processed within a period of one to three months
There is no deadline for this service
There are no associated fees.
