The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, through its Department of Sports, gives annual grants to persons and organisations who offer camping programmes during the summer to children in the community.
Interested parties may make requests to the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture to assist in deferring the cost of the camp.
Interested parties must be Bahamian residents or citizens
- Forms may be collected at the Department of Sports.
- The applicant must fill out and submit the application form, along with supporting documents, to the Department of Sports.
- The Department of Sports will then acknowledge receipt of the application for a sport grant.
- The Ministry will review each application to ensure that the applicant is compliant with the sporting policy. Note: Applications submitted without the required documents will not be processed.
- Applicants will be informed of approval or non-approval in writing.
- Once the grant is approved, the applicant must go to the Department of Sports, with a form of national photo ID, to collect the cheque.

Applications are processed within a period of one month.
All requests for Summer Satellite Grant must be submitted by June 30th annually.
There are no associated fees.
