STEPS TO APPLYING:

  1. Fill out in duplicate a Bahamas Government Public Service Commission Application Form (PSC Form 7) 
  2. Applicants must be between the ages of 18-30
  3. Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) BJC passes at grade ā€œDā€ or above including English Language or equivalent (eg. Pitman/RSA Stage 1, City & Guilds 1)

OR

      4. One (1) B.G.C.S.E at grade ā€œCā€ or above or equivalent (eg. Pitman/ RSA Stage 11, City & Guilds 11), (if BGCSE is not in English Language, then the

applicant should have English Language at the BJC level or equivalent);

OR

      5. BTVI Certificate evaluated to at least one (1) BGCSE Subject (if English Language is part of the programme with a passing grade-otherwise English Language at the BJC is required along with Certificate).

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

    • A copy of your Birth Certificate
    • Recent copy of your Police Record
    • Copy of your Academic Qualifications
    • Copy of your Passport
    • Two (2) References
    • Two (2) Passport sized photographs

 

STEP 2

PROCESSING OF DOCUMENTS

  1. Once the application is completed with the requisite documents, it can be hand delivered to The Department of Correctional Services for processing.
  2. The application will then be recorded and used for the next Recruitment Exercise.  

 

STEP 3

POTENTIAL CANDIDATES

  1. Prospects will be notified by the Human Resources Department to participate in the following employment formalities:
  2. Candidates will undergo an interview process.
  3. Candidates will undergo a medical screening.
  4. Candidates will participate in a physical fitness assessment.
  5. Candidates will undergo a vetting process.

 

STEP 4

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES

Successful candidates will be notified by the Human Resources Department to participate in the orientation process prior to the start of training.
