From time to time ship captain require tug assistance to support birthing or when the vessel is in distress.   The Port Department handles all requests for tug boat services.  


Eligibility 

Any Ship

Process 
  1. To request tug boat services, the captain must contact the Habour Control of the Port Department.
  2. Once a tug boat is available and the request is approved, the Port will send a tug boat to assist the ship.
  3. Once service is complete the Port Department issues an invoice of the cost of the service.
  4. The applicant must pay the service fee stated on the invoice.  
  5. Once payment is made the Port issues a receipt of payment to the ship.

Turnaround time is dependent on the location of the vessel, the level of urgency and the service provided.

There is no deadline associated with this service.
