The Cabinet by ICC (20) 19 Meeting, Conclusion 35

1. require that investors by way of the Heads of Agreement purchase forty percent (40%) local agricultural and marine products;
   
   
2. mandate hotels, wholesalers and retailers as well as other purchasing entities to support the local agricultural and marine sectors by purchasing forty percent (40%) of their products from Bahamian producers;
   
   
3. mandate Government institutions/entities purchase seventy-five percent (75%) of their purchases of agricultural, marine products, processed food from local farmers, fishers and consumable food processors and manufacturers; and
   
   
4. the utilization of the existing Import Permit system to further encourage support of the local farming industry initiatives by enforcing the quota system in the purchasing of locally grown produce.
