Objectives:
The main objectives of the workshop are:
- To provide information on safe and proper diving procedures.
- To demonstrate proper techniques associated with the use of air-compressors.
- To provide information on the early symptoms and signs of decompression sickness.
Target Group:
The target group for this training includes:
- Commercial fishing divers who use air-compressors.
- First responders.
- Medical assistants.
- Interested persons in the commercial fishing sector.
Qualifications/Eligibility Criteria:
- Proof of Bahamian citizenship.
- No academic qualifications are required to undertake this training.
- A basic understanding of diving procedures will be an asset.
Workshop Duration:
One day.
Where is training provided:
New Providence and the Family Islands or wherever there are five or more persons, who have expressed an interest.
