Public Service Announcement from The Passport Office

FURTHER TO OUR ANNOUNCEMENT DURING THE MONTH OF MARCH 2018, THE PASSPORT OFFICE IS IN ITS USUAL SUMMER PEAK PERIOD.  FOR THEIR CONVENIENCE, ALL BAHAMIANS, PARTICULARLY, ATHLETES, AND COLLEGE STUDENTS  ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR THEIR PASSPORTS AS A MATTER OF PRIORITY.  FAILURE TO DO SO IN A TIMELY MANNER SHALL RESULT IN THE PAYMENT OF THE EXPEDITED FEE OF $200.00 IN ADDITION TO THE REGULAR PASSPORT FEE.

 

THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS REMINDED THAT PASSPORTS MAY BE COLLECTED FROM THE ISSUANCE SECTION OF THE PASSPORT OFFICE, UNIVERSITY DRIVE (FORMERLY THOMPSON BOULEVARD), DURING THE HOURS OF 8:00 A.M. TO 3:00 P.M. ON WEEK DAYS.

 

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT APPLICATIONS FOR PASSPORTS ARE RECEIVED NORMALLY FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 3:45 P.M. ON WEEKDAYS. HOWEVER, THIS SCHEDULE MAY BE SUBJECT TO AN EARLIER CUT-OFF TIME BASED ON THE VOLUME OF CUSTOMERS ON A GIVEN DAY.

 

ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE BE STRONGLY ADVISED THAT, IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO TRAVEL INTERNATIONALLY, YOUR PASSPORT MUST BE VALID FOR A PERIOD OF AT LEAST SIX (6) MONTHS FROM THE TIME OF THE RETURN FROM YOUR TRIP IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO UNDERTAKE YOUR INTENDED TRAVEL.

 

FINALLY, EFFECTIVE 1st JULY 2018, PASSPORT APPLICATION FORMS AND REQUIREMENT PAMPHLETS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE AT ALL PUBLIC LIBRARIES IN NEW PROVIDENCE:  ELIZABETH ESTATES; FOX HILL; CARMICHAEL ROAD; SOUTH BEACH; EASTERN PUBLIC LIBRARY – MACKEY STREET; COCONUT GROVE; G K SYMONETTE LIBRARY – YELLOW ELDER;  NASSAU PUBLIC LIBRARY; KEMP ROAD COMMUNITY LIBRARY; AND THE WULFF ROAD LIBRARY.
