Cancer is responsible for the deaths of many women around the globe, and it is no different here in The Bahamas. Without measures to detect cases of it earlier and to combat this dreadful disease, its toll would continue to rise. The Ministry of Health therefore encourages females to be screened regularly.  

Any woman of child-bearing age is eligible.

1. Visit your nearest community health clinic.
2. Register for an appointment.
3. Have a seat in the waiting area.
4. Participate in testing and examination.
5. Obtain a follow-up appointment.
6. Follow the advice / instructions of the healthcare provider.
7. Continue treatment as necessary.
8. If applicable, use referral given by the clinic.

These forms can all be obtained from the Department of Public Health.
