This permit allows persons to import plants and flowers
There are no eligibility criteria for this service.
The Bahamas Agricultural Health and Food Safety Authority (BAHFSA) is responsible for importing plants and plant products into The Bahamas. These include live plants, cut flowers, sod/lawn, seeds, fruits, vegetables, orchids, Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, wooden articles, palm handicrafts, tobacco leaves and other regulated articles.
To apply, you must first register with Click2Clear at http://www.click2clear.gov.bs/.
Once you have successfully registered, follow the following three-part steps:
- Email click2clear@bahamas.gov.bs and request for your “password and username to be activated to apply for a pet permit with BAHFSA.”
- You will receive an email with your password. Click the log in here button at https://bahfsabahamas.com/epermitting-for-imports
- Reset your password by typing in your username and the password you received and then changing it to the one you want.

Once you receive your permit, please give it to your supplier, the National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO), or the Plant Health Authority in the country of export and request a phytosanitary certificate to accompany it.

- For Commercial Traders, a valid Business Licence is required.
- Phyto-sanitary Certificate from country of export.
Note:
- For persons outside of the Bahamas, monies can be sent as a money order or draft via Fedex or UPS or any courier service.
- Personal cheques will not be accepted.
