Institution: Inter-American Development Bank
The Ministry of Public Works (MOPW) of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank toward the cost of the Airport Infrastructure Program, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Exuma Airport Airside Work. The Ministry of Public Works intends to prequalify contractors for the Airside redevelopment work at Exuma International Airport. This work is intended to complement the new Air Terminal Building (ATB) and Combined Services Building (CSB) and forms part of a comprehensive re-development program.
The scope of the Airside works includes Runway, Taxiway and Apron reconstruction, an emergency access road for Fire Truck use, airfield lighting and Navaid systems, drainage improvements, infill of low- lying areas, runway edge slope reprofiling, brush clearing, and security fence work in Moss Town, Great Exuma, The Bahamas.
Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Inter-American Development Bank’s Policies for the Procurement of Works and Goods financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2349-15 and is open to all applicants from eligible source countries, as defined in the Policies.
A complete set of the prequalification documents in English may be obtained by interested Applicants on the submission of a written request or collected from the address below from 10am to 4pm. Deadline to submit a request for Prequalification Documents on or before November 6, 2020 by 4:00PM.
Applications for prequalification should email a pdf electronic copy to IDBFIAIRPORTS@bahamas.gov.bs and submit one (1) original and three (3) hard copies in sealed envelopes delivered to the address below, no later than 4:00PM on or before December 21, 2020 and be clearly marked “Application to Prequalify for Airport Infrastructure Program Exuma International Airside Works – ICB: CW 002.
