Four New Fire Trucks Commissioned for Airports in Abaco, Eleuthera, Exuma, and New Providence

NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Airport Authority held a commissioning and dedication ceremony for four fire trucks at Arawak Port facility, Tuesday, December 21, 2021.  The fire trucks are to be used at airports in Abaco, Eleuthera, Exuma and New Providence.  Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation (MOTIA) the Hon. Chester Cooper said the trucks are equipped to handle all types of fires including gas and electrical.  Deputy Prime Minister Cooper said he is honoured to say that the Family Islands will not be left out in respect to these fire trucks which are heavily equipped; and noted training in their handling will continue.  Present were the Hon. Alfred Sears, Minister of Works and Utilities; the Hon. Wayne Munroe, Minister of National Security; the Hon. Clay Sweeting, Minister of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Family Island Affairs; Senator the Hon. Randy Rolle, Consultant/MOTIA; John Pinder, Parliamentary Secretary/MOTIA; Reginald Saunders, Permanent Secretary/MOTIA; Commissioner of Police Paul Rolle; Paul Bevans, Chairman, Airport Authority; Deputy General Manager Peter Rutherford; Rev.
