Once a decision is made to terminate or cease business operations for a period of time, a business owner is required to apply to the BLU to cease the business.  


Eligibility 

 

Existing Business Owner:

    1. Partnership
    2. Privately Trading companies
    3. Publicly Trading companies
    4. Limited Liability Partnerships
    5. Limited Liability Company
    6. Sole-  Proprietorships  
    7. Home Based Businesses
Process 
  1. Complete the Business Licence Registration Form A
  2. Submit supporting documentation to indicate why the business is no longer in operation or active.
  3. Surrender the current and original Business Licence Certificate.
  4. A Business Licence Processing Officer will update the system to reflect the business licence status change.

  • Current Business Licence Certificate
  • Payment receipt for outstanding fees
  • Photo ID, passport

 

Turn-around time 
Once an application form and all supporting documents have been submitted, it is processed within seven working days. Note that the Secretary for Revenue has fourteen day to review the details before making a decision.
