Draft 2018 International Energy Conservation Code Caribbean Application Document

Background information:   

Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality (BBSQ)  is mandated to prepare and promote standards for all goods, services, practices and processes used or produced locally and/or for export. Further, the BBSQ has responsibilities to develop, promote and implement standards for products and services for protecting the health and safety of consumers, and the environment.
Therefore, a part of that responsibility deals with standards on the international and regional level, The attached standard is up for review from CARICOM  and since  The Bahamas is as a member state they are requesting all relative stakeholders assistance to review the attached standard: 

Additionally, a view only access of the Draft IECC 2018 and the ASHRAE 90.1: 2016 documents has been granted to the BBSQ via CROSQ for the purpose of the consultation. Supporting links to the view access only of the documents are as follows: http://www.ashrae.org/previewstandards and http://iecc.crosq.org. Please also note that access to the draft IECC 2018 document which is provided on the CROSQ Website is temporary, once the IECC 2018 has been published access will be granted via the ICC website and the draft IECC 2018 document will be removed from the CROSQ Website.

 

For determination of The Bahamas national position all comments should be channelled to the Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality (BBSQ). standards@bbsq.bs

 

SAVE THE DATE: 1st November 2017. BBSQ is hosting a National Consultation Forum to present the DCREEBC to the stakeholders for their comments at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, West Bay Street, Nassau, The Bahamas at 10:00am to 12:00pm.
