Minister of Health Wellness the Honourable Dr. Michael R. Darville led a team of health officials and physicians to Havana, Cuba on Tuesday 18th October 2022 to attend the IV
International “Cuba Salud 2022” Convention and its Associated Trade Fairs.

The delegation will participate in high level sessions which will encompass discussions to
inform the country’s initiatives regarding a National Kidney Transplant Program, Non Communicable Diseases Community Clinic Programs and Biomedical Engineering Resources and Personnel.

Yesterday Minister Darville met with Dr. José Ángel Portal Miranda, Cuban Minister of Health. Today included in the agenda is a visit to 5 de Septembre a Cuban Poly-clinic and a dinner to host Bahamian medical students and healthcare professionals living in Cuba.

The delegation returns to the capital on Friday 21st October 2022.
