73 Cuban Nationals Repatriated to Cuba

On Friday, 17th June 2022, at approximately 12:50 PM, a Bahamasair chartered flight departed New Providence for Havana, Cuba with sixteen (16) Cuban nationals aboard; fourteen (14) males, and two (2) females. 

Additionally, on Tuesday, 14th, and Wednesday, 15th of June 2022, two Bahamasair flights carrying a total of fifty-seven (57) Cuban nationals departed New Providence for Havana, Cuba. Forty-nine (49) males and eight (8) females were in this group. 

The Department's Deportation Unit led both escorts with all COVID-19 protocols strictly observed as the health, welfare, and safety of our officers, law enforcement counterparts, and migrants remain the highest priority.
