On behalf of the Government and People of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, I wish to extend sincere congratulations to the Government and People of the People’s Republic of China, on the occasion of their 72^nd National Day on 1 October 2021.

I also wish to express appreciation to the Government of the People’s Republic of China for its kind wishes on my administration’s achievement as the new government of The Bahamas.

On this most important observance for China, my Government acknowledges the mutual and cordial relationship between our two countries, and looks forward to continued cooperation in the areas of economic and social development.

The People’s Republic of China is a founding member of several multilateral and regional cooperation organizations which have greatly benefited countries in the Latin American and Caribbean region, including The Bahamas.
