As part of Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis’ commitment to facilitate economic empowerment and advancement in the Bahamas, he welcomed members of the executive team of Bahamian owned company ArawakX in a courtesy call on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Office of the Prime Minister.

 

Equity crowdfunding platform ArawakX’s executive team, inclusive of Chief Executive Officer, D’Arcy Rahming Sr; Chief Technology Officer, D’Arcy Rahming Jr; Chief of Caribbean Development, Robertson Dieudonne; and Director of Special Projects, Fernerin Hanna delivered a presentation outlining policy changes that can stimulate the Bahamian economy.

 

ArawakX CEO stated that due to ideas presented, “Bahamians could come back home to work, reversing the brain drain because we can offer comparable jobs.”

 

Prime Minister Davis expressed that the Government will be pressing hard on the domestic side to ensure linkages and ensure companies have access to capital.

 

He said, “We believe the more people we empower, the more the economy will grow.”

 

Also present at the courtesy call were Minister of Economic Affairs, Senator Hon. Michael Halkitis; Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister, Hon. Myles Laroda; Parliamentary Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister, Mr. Leon Lundy; and other senior team members from the Office of the Prime Minister.
