The Hon. Iram Lewis, MP, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture extends congratulations to Mr. Chavano “Buddy” Hield for his outstanding record breaking accomplishment in making National Basketball Association (NBA) history as the fastest player to reach 1,000 three-pointers.

Buddy, who plays the forward position for the Sacramento Kings achieved the historic feat in just his 350^th National Basketball Association (NBA) game played against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday 28^th February, 2021, surpassing Golden State Warrior guard Stephen Curry who accomplished the same feat in 369 games. 

Buddy continues to excel in the game with a bright future ahead for him.
