The Ministry Of Eduction held its Official Installation Ceremony of the School Board Members of New Providence District, May 12, 2022 at the National Training Agency, to the theme, 'It Takes a Village to Educate a Child."

Minister of Education and Technical & Vocational Training the Hon.Glenys Hanna-Martin gave the keynote address during which she stressed the importance of keeping education alive and strong throughout The Bahamas.  She took pleasure in the fact that members were from a wide range of society, comprising doctors, lawyers, law enforcement officials, members of the clergy and others of civil society.

In attendance were Minister of State in the Ministry of Education and Technical & Vocational Training the Hon. Zane Lightbourne; Acting Parliamentary Commissioner Lavado Duncanson; Ministry officials -- Lorrraine Armbrister, Permanent Secretary; Marcellus Taylor, Director of Education; and Clarence Clare, First Assistant Secretary; and other parliamentary registration and education officials.

After her address, Minister Hanna-Martin proceeded with the swearing in of the School Board members of New Providence district.  (BIS Photos/Mark Ford)
