Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources, the Hon. Vaughn P. Miller, along with Director Melony McKenzie and other delegates, attended the 34th Meeting of the Parties to The Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer (MOP34). The meeting commenced on October 31st and concluded November 4th, 2022. This year's conference theme is “Global Cooperation to Protect Life on Earth.”
The Minister assured his colleagues and delegates from around the world that on behalf of the Government and People of The Bahamas, he stands with them in taking action in the fight for the nation's survival and, indeed, very existence. He also reminded them that The Bahamas is one of the founding members of the “Coalition of The Willing” (C. O. W.), in the fight to protect our oceans, for climate justice and for “Global Cooperation to Protect Life on Earth.”
