Star Legend makes inaugural visit to Grand Bahama

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama – One hundred and fifty-two passengers onboard the Star Legend, a part of Windstar Cruises, arrived in Freeport Harbour on Friday, December 16, 2022 during the vessel's inaugural visit.  Despite inclement weather, most of the visitors disembarked to participate in various activities onshore.

Captain Krasimir Ivanov welcomed officials from the Ministry of Tourism, including manager of the Freeport office, Sanique Culmer, who along with officials from the Grand Bahama Harbour Company and Bahamas Customs toured the ship following a plaque exchange.

Star Legend will go to Miami, Florida, from Grand Bahama.  Prior to arriving in The Bahamas, the passengers were on a 14-day crossing of the Atlantic.

The Star Legend, a part of the Windstar Cruises family, docked in Freeport Harbour for the first time. Carrying 152 passengers, the vessel was docked for the day and leaves for its next port, Miami, Florida.

While in port at Freeport Harbour, staff of the Ministry of Tourism welcomed the captain of Star Legend and participated in a plaque exchange to commemorate the occasion.
