Prime Minister Davis Attends CELAC as Chair of CARICOM

Prime Minister Hon. Philip E Davis KC, MP, is in Argentina where he will represent the region at the Seventh Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and the Caribbean States (CELAC) as Chairman of CARICOM. The Summit’s agenda includes safety and security in the region, climate change, and the crisis in Haiti. 

While in Argentina, Prime Minister Davis will also meet with key stakeholders in that nation’s maritime sector. He is joined by Housing and Transport Minister Hon. Jobeth Coleby Davis and executives from The Bahamas Maritime Authority. The Government is focused on repositioning The Bahamas as a leader in the maritime industry in the hemisphere.

 Deputy Prime Minister Hon. I. Chester Cooper will serve as Acting Prime Minister until Thursday 26, January 2023 when the Prime Minister returns.
