NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Prime Minister and Minister of Finance the Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis; Minister of Health the Hon. Renward Wells and Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Country Representative for The Bahamas Dr. Eldonna Boisson were among dignitaries watching the arrival in Nassau of 33,600 AstraZeneca vaccines, March 30, 2021. Prime Minister Minnis urged Bahamians to continue to get vaccinated, wear face masks, sanitize hands, and avoid large crowds. Dr. Boisson said another 67,000 vaccines are expected in May. She urged the public throughout the world and in The Bahamas to continue to wear the face mask, sanitize and avoid large gatherings -- adhere to the established pandemic protocols.
