Job Fair announced for Grand Bahama

NASSAU The Bahamas -- The Department of Labour in the Ministry of Labour and Immigration in conjunction with the Ministry for Grand Bahama held a press conference Wednesday to announce the holding of a job fair Saturday, November 19, 2022 at St. George’s High School in Grand Bahama.  The Hon. Ginger Moxey, Minister for Grand Bahama, encouraged persons to come appropriately dressed and prepared with their resume, national insurance card, police record and any and all necessary papers since there is a strong possibility that they can be hired on the spot.  Director of Labour Robert Farquharson said that 29 companies have confirmed participation including construction, hotels, accounting firms, auditing firms and security firms.   Government agencies including the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF), the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) and National Training Agency (NTA) will also be participating and seeking to hire and train persons.
