NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Booths on 'Day Two' of the Public Service Week Career Day Fair are pictured at Centre Court, Marathon Mall, Wednesday, November 2, 2022 to boost public awareness of the role of various government departments, and to present career opportunities.  State Minister for the Public Service the Hon. Pia Glover-Rolle addressed the opening of the career fair on Tuesday morning and stated how the government is improving the working environment for public servants.

The special week opened with a Service of Thanksgiving at Mt. Tabor Church on Sunday morning, October 30.

Upcoming events:

Friday, November 4
Float Parade & National T- Shirt Day.  
Floats assemble at the Western Esplanade, where there will be prejudging 8 am to 10 am.  Floats leave the Western Esplanade at 10 am and return there.

The route: Western Esplanade, Saunders Beach, Prospect Ridge, University Drive, east to NIB and on to Blue Hill Road, to Meeting Street, west on Meeting Street to Nassau Street, and north on Nassau Street, back to the Western Esplanade.

State Minister Glover-Rolle will at the end of the parade announce the winning Float presentations and also the winning Career Day Booth presentations.

Saturday, November 5
Fun Run Walk and Health Screening.
Events begin at 6am at the Meeting Street grounds of the Ministry of Health/Ministry of the Public Service, and return there.

State Minister Glover-Rolle will give remarks at the end of the marathon, at 8am, on Meeting Street grounds, where there will be festivities after.
