72 Foreign Nationals Repatriated To Haiti

On Tuesday, 17th May 2022, at approximately 7:40 AM, a Bahamasair chartered flight departed New Providence for Port-au-Prince, Haiti with sixty-two (62) Haitian nationals onboard; fortysix (46) males, twelve (12) females, and four (4) minors were in this group.

 

Additionally, at 1:20 PM, a Bahamasair flight carrying ten (10) Cuban nationals departed New Providence for Havana, Cuba. This group consisted of nine (9) males and one (1) female. 

 

The Department's Deportation Unit led both escorts with all COVID-19 protocols strictly observed as the health, welfare, and safety of our officers, law enforcement counterparts, and migrants remain the highest priority.
