First Lady Ann-Marie Davis met with youth parliamentarians at the Office of the Spouse of the Prime Minister in the Goodman’s Bay Complex on 12 May 2022.

The first lady encouraged the young people to continue to bring their passion and energy into the political landscape. She particularly encouraged young women not to be afraid to enter the political arena.

The youth parliamentarians are scheduled to debate topics such as the global climate crisis and gender based violence amongst an array of other topics on Friday when they meet in parliament.

First Lady Davis was also presented with poetry collections published by two of the youth parliamentarians, angel percentile and John Poitier Jr.

The young parliamentarians, who hail from all islands of The Bahamas are slated to begin their debate Friday at 9am in the house of parliament.
